About
David
Christopher
A student of the late Dr. Robert Elmore, David Christopher has been performing as an organ recitalist since the age of 14. Having held a number of distinctive organ positions in the Philadelphia and Wilmington areas, David has served as the organist and director of music for The Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew in Wilmington, Delaware since April of 2001. Known as a gifted accompanist, he is often called on to collaborate with singers and instrumentalists in recital as well as in chamber music programs.
Also the owner of a two-manual Flemish harpsichord built by Steven D. Jones in 1987, David frequently plays harpsichord continuo for concerts throughout the area. Last season, he made his debut with the Delaware Symphony in Handel's "Water Music Suite" and played harpsichord for OperaDelaware's recent performances of Mozart's "Marriage of Figaro" and Rossini's "The Barber of Seville".
